Wes Welker Calls Tom Brady 'Toughest Metrosexual I've Ever Come Across'A lot — probably too much — has been made about the boo-boo on Tom Brady's nose that the quarterback suffered on Sunday. There has also probably been too much made about Wes Welker's limited role in the Patriots' offense in the same game.

So naturally, it was Welker who summed up Brady's situation better than anyone else.

"He's such a good-looking guy," Welker said of Brady, according to the Boston Herald. "Obviously, he gets banged up, and he's probably the toughest metrosexual I've ever come across."

It's a little unclear how many metrosexuals Welker has come across, especially given his day job as an NFL football player. But you'd be hard-pressed to find a better way to describe the Patriots quarterback.

"Any time you see your leader out there, going out there and taking hits like that and everything else," Welker said, according to the paper. "You ask him if it's broken. He doesn't know, and he doesn't care. He loves football. He loves playing. He does a great job."

Brady injured his nose during the Pats' opener with the Titans in Tennessee on Sunday afternoon. Titans defensive end Kamerion Wimbley fell on Brady's face in the second quarter, leaving the quarterback with a bloody nose. Brady got help on the sidelines and finished the game (and his postgame news conference) with a bandage on his nose. Brady downplayed the injury and appeared to be fine at a public appearance on Monday night.
