The Red Sox reached another milestone on Sunday afternoon. However, in a year of disappointments, this milestone was once again a negative one.
For the first time since 1966, Boston reached the 90-loss plateau, with a 6-3 defeat at the hands of Baltimore.
The O’s got off to a fast start, hammering Red Sox starter Zach Stewart in his short outing. Stewart allowed three first-inning runs en-route to suffering his fourth loss of 2012. The right-hander gave up five runs in 2 2/3 innings before getting pulled in favor Clayton Mortensen.
