Asante Samuel must be having himself a good laugh over the current panic in Philadelphia.
The Eagles shipped Samuel to the Falcons during the offseason for just a seventh-round pick, which the Philadelphia Inquirer’s Jeff McLane said at the time was due to the cornerback falling out of favor with head coach Any Reid, who reportedly thought Samuel was in “steep decline.”
Apparently, those words stuck with Samuel, whose Falcons are now 6-0. On Tuesday, the four-time Pro Bowler seemed to jab at Reid on Twitter upon hearing the news that the Eagles fired defensive coordinator Juan Castillo.
Samuel sent out the following tweets.
