Cam Newton sure knows how to bring the negative energy.
The Panthers fell to 1-5 on Sunday after dropping a 19-14 decision to the Cowboys, and it's clear that the second-year quarterback is starting to lose patience with the way things are going for Carolina. Newton said after the game that he wasn't pointing fingers, but his postgame news conference could hardly be seen as uplifting.
"The past couple of games have been the same script, by the same director," Newton said. "It's kind of getting boring.
"This taste, this vibe — I'm not buying it, man. And I don't know what it is, but something's going to have to change. Something's going to have to change real fast."
So how does one go about implementing said change? Well, it might just start with everyone tossing out ideas.
"I'm going to bring in a suggestion box. And I want your suggestions in that suggestion box, because I sure don't know. I really don't," Newton told reporters.
Newton completed 21 of 37 passes for 233 yards on Sunday. He also rushed six times for 64 yards, but a couple of late field goals propelled Dallas to victory. Now, the Panthers, who many expected to take the next step this season, travel to Chicago to face a vaunted Bears defense that will try to make Newton's season go from bad to worse. No word yet on whether Newton will pack that brown sweater.

Let's leave the plumbers out of this.
The Jets' use of Tebow is getting dumber by the play. Plumbers are more creative.
