The Celtics have plenty of new faces this season, but that doesn't change the team's focus. No, that remains squarely on the same goal that it's always been at the TD Garden: to raise another banner and win another NBA championship.
Boston will begin its journey towards that goal soon, with the team's preseason games (finally) out of the way. Now, their attention will be fully on games that count.
While it might be difficult for the Celtics to adjust to life with so many new teammates, they won't have much time to waste getting used to playing with each other. After all, Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce aren't getting any younger, and this might be their best chance left at getting another ring.
With that in mind — and with roster cuts looming — NESN.com NBA writer Ben Watanabe and NESN Nation's Dan Duquette sat down to discuss how quickly the C's can adjust to whatever configurations Doc Rivers puts out on the floor in the coming days. They also touched on what impact Leandro Barbosa will have on the team, whether fans should have any beef with Ray Allen and much more.
