Chandler Jones' rookie campaign is off to a fast start, as the Patriots defensive end has been named the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month for September.
Jones recorded 17 tackles, three sacks and two forced fumbles in four September games, leading the Patriots' defense as New England sits at 2-2. Those are the results Pats fans were hoping for when the team selected Jones with the 21st overall pick in this year's draft, but some may not have expected the success to come so quickly.
Jones burst onto the scene in Week 1, recording five tackles, a sack and a forced fumble that fellow rookie Dont'a Hightower scooped up and ran into the end zone for a touchdown. The Syracuse product has hardly slowed down since, and he may not going forward.
