The Patriots may have found their permanent kick returner.
Starting cornerback Devin McCourty returned a kick for a 104-yard touchdown on Sunday against the Jets.
The impressive special teams play was the Patriots' first kick return for a touchdown since Brandon Tate brought one back for 103 yards against the Dolphins on Oct. 4, 2010.
McCourty has been the primary returner for New England this season, sharing the duties with Danny Woodhead. Woodhead lead the team with 20 returns last year and averaged 21.9 yards per return. McCourty had seven career kick returns coming into the game, with this being his first NFL touchdown.
