Sitting here at NESN HQ, we just felt a little rolling beneath our feet. That sure felt like an earthquake.
How can you tell? Well, notice how it seemed to kind of 'roll' through, shaking momentarily but kind of coming in a wave.
The earthquake's epicenter was three miles west of Hollis Center, Maine near Lake Arrowhead. It registered a 4.6 on the Richter Scale. Additionally, check out the image below from the U.S. Geological Survey to get an idea where the quake's epicenter was.
Earlier, we solicited responses from NESN's Twitter followers using the hashtag #NESNearthquake. Follow this link to see the replies we received — people checked in from all over New England, even so far south as Brooklyn.
