Georgia Football Players Find House Covered in Eggs, Toilet Paper After Loss to South Carolina

SEC football is a different animal than most of college football, but that does not give fans an excuse for overreacting to wins or losses.

Georgia entered Saturday’s match up with South Carolina ranked fifth in country, but were hardly competitive as the No. 6 Gamecocks handed them a 35-7 shellacking. A road loss to a fellow SEC power should be looked on as forgivable, but a few Bulldogs fans lost a bit of perspective following the game.

Linebacker Christian Robinson and quarterback Aaron Murray returned to Athens on Saturday night to find their home vandalised. Disappointed in his peers, Robinson sent out the following tweet:

Fans overreacting to big losses is nothing new, but when the actions begin to affect a player’s personal property or peace of mind, things have gone too far. Robinson is not losing perspective, however.
