It's all fun and games until someone shatters the backboard.
You might remember Ivan Johnson as the guy who clashed with Kevin Garnett during last season's Celtics-Hawks playoff series, or you might know him for one of several other instances of questionable behavior. Now, going forward, you can think of him as the guy who put an abrupt stop to practice because the backboard couldn't withstand his fury.
Johnson's teammates, Al Horford and Mike Scott, tweeted photos of a shattered backboard Monday, claiming that Johnson was the man responsible. That shouldn't come as too much of a surprise considering the fury with which Johnson often plays, but it really threw a wrench into Atlanta's practice plans.
Don't worry, though. Scott has already apologized to Butler — where the practice was held — for Johnson's apparent lack of manners.
