Jets Sign Wide Receiver Jason Hill, Which Has Potential to Be AwkwardDarrelle Revis
could get to know Jason Hill more than he ever anticipated.

That's because the Jets have signed Hill, the team announced Wednesday.

The move to bring in a wide receiver is an unsurprising one for the Jets, as Santonio Holmes was placed on injured reserve. However, the selection of Hill immediately brings to mind the receiver's mini feud with Revis and the Jets last season.

"I think sometimes they get overhyped," Hill, then a member of the Jaguars, told the Florida Times-Union in September 2011, before then implying that the big New York market has something to do with the amount of attention Revis and the Jets receive.

Revis replied soon thereafter, "I don't even know who that dude is."

For those who still don't know who Hill is, the receiver comes to the Jets after getting released by the Broncos during the final cuts this past offseason. The 27-year-old caught 27 passes for 367 yards and three touchdowns with Jacksonville in 2011.

Hill joins a depleted receiving corps that consists of Jeremy Kerley, Chaz Schilens and Stephen Hill. That's not exactly a Pro Bowl bunch, but it speaks to the problems going on in the Meadowlands.

If there's any lingering tension between Hill and Revis, those problems could soon get worse.
