Kings Bring Stanley Cup to World Trade Center Memorial to Honor Scouts Killed on 9/11 (Photo)

The NHL lockout has allowed the Los Angeles Kings family to spend a little more time with the Stanley Cup, and they took advantage of that in a big way on Sunday afternoon.

The defending champions made the Cup's latest stop an important one, arranging to have sports' greatest trophy make an appearance at the World Trade Center memorial in New York. Two Kings scouts — Ace Bailey and Mark Bavis — were among the thousands who were killed in the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorists attacks.

The Cup was placed in front of the WTC memorial where the names of both Bailey and Bavis are engraved. Family members also posed for photographs, with Kings jerseys for both Bailey and Bavis.
