San Francisco might be more closely associated with indie rock and hippie jam bands, but nowadays (especially in Oakland and the East Bay) the Bay Area has a pretty mean independent hip hop scene.

Not that Lil' Wayne is remotely underground or independent, but with his album "Tha Carter III," especially, Weezy has found a lot of success among even the most snobbish of critics. He hails from New Orleans originally, but hey, The Big Easy doesn't have a baseball team, so apparently Lil' Wayne is representing the San Francisco Giants during their playoff run.

During Game 6 of the NLCS, Weezy was tasked with entertaining the crowd during the seventh-inning stretch, singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame." As you can see in the video below, his melodies may be a bit suspect, but it's his rhymes and flow that has garndered him critical acclaim in the past, so we can give him a pass.
