Miguel Cabrera
was literally crowned Saturday night for winning MLB's first Triple Crown since 1967.

Frank Robinson and Bud Selig were on hand to present Cabrera with the crown at a news conference Saturday prior to Game 3 of the World Series. Cabrera won the first Triple Crown this season since Carl Yastrzemski accomplished the feat 45 years ago. The Tigers' third baseman batted .330 with 44 home runs and 139 RBIs.

The Tigers are down 2-0 in the World Series to the Giants and face an uphill battle after losing Game 1 behind their ace, Justin Verlander.

Cabrera is deserving of his crown — he's the reigning king of hitting in the American League. His 2012 batting title was his second in as many years after hitting .344 in 2011.
