Pablo Sandoval
joined elite company on Wednesday night.

Sandoval hit three home runs in the first five innings of Game 1 of the World Series.

The Giants' third baseman joins just Babe Ruth, Reggie Jackson and Albert Pujols as the only four players that have hit three home runs in a World Series game. No player has hit four home runs during the Fall Classic.

"Kung Fu Panda" hit just 12 home runs all season in 2012, missing time with a left hamstring injury. Sandoval hit two of his three home runs in Game 1 off of Justin Verlander, who struggled, giving up five earned runs in four innings with six hits and one walk. Sandoval's first home run just scraped over the wall in the deepest part of AT&T Park in right-center field.
