Paul Ryan is a self-described "numbers guy," an economics expert and a candiadate to become the next vice president. Although his purported three-hour marathon time turned out to be a falsification, he's also said to be quite the athlete and fitness buff.

However, his knowledge of Cleveland Browns quarterbacks is sketchy at best, apparently.

On Wednesday Ryan visited the Browns' practice, even getting the opportunity to address the team as a group, according to the Cleveland Plain-Dealer. The problem? Well, when Ryan singled out Browns rookie starting quarterback Brandon Weeden, he was actually pointing at Colt McCoy. To his credit, Ryan did say that he enjoyed watching Weeden play at Oklahoma State, but that clearly didn't lead to any facial recognition.

"You always had your helmet on," said Ryan. Linebacker Scott Fujita even noted that the players were laughing at the gaffe in the locker room.

Ryan wasn't the only politician at Browns practice, as former secretary of state Condaleezza Rice was also on hand, even taking a picture with rookie running back Trent Richardson — apparently the politicians are going for the youth vote across the board.

If it seems a bit odd that the pair (along with Sen. Rob Portman) picked the Browns, allow us to explain. New Cleveland Owner Jimmy Haslam III is the brother of Tennessee governor Bill Haslam, a big supporter of the presidential candidacy of Mitt Romney.

Check out a picture of Ryan with offensive tackle Joe Thomas and Haslam below, courtesy of the Browns' official Twitter and Instagram accounts.
