Report: Mario Williams Considering Wrist Surgery While Bills Are on Bye Week

Buffalo may already be writing off their season.

The Bills didn't deem Mario Williams' wrist injury important enough to include it on their injury report, but it may be major enough for the highest paid defensive player in the league to require surgery.

The Buffalo News reported that Williams is considering having surgery on his sprained left wrist while the team is on a bye this week. Williams said that the injury is to blame for his so far disappointing season, saying that it's causing him to hesitate on the field.

The Bills' defensive end recently responsed to critics saying that he does not care if he's living up to expectations in Buffalo. Williams has 3 1/2 sacks on the season, but his and the entire team's lack of run defense is really raising eyebrows. The team ranks last in rushing yards per game, yards per carry and touchdowns allowed.
