Report: Tim Tebow Could Be Traded to Jaguars From Jets Before Thursday's Trade DeadlineTim Tebow
could be headed home to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Jaguars are attempting to trade for Tebow according to Steve Wrigley from Action Sports in Jacksonville. This isn't the first time that Tebow has been linked to his hometown of
Jacksonville. Jaguars owner Shad Khan said that he would have drafted
the former Florida Gator's quarterback and the team tried to trade
for Tebow back in March before the New York Jets snagged him.

Jacksonville has been among the lowest teams in the NFL in attendance for years, and Tebow could certainly boost that number. EverBank Field — one of the largest stadiums in the league — has tarped off nearly 10,000 seats to lower their capacity from 76,867 to 67,246 to prevent local television blackouts. The Jaguars have also been a team rumored to move to Los Angeles.

Jacksonville drafted quarterback Blaine Gabbert in the first round last April, so it's unknown whether Tebow would play quarterback with the Jaguars, or serve a similar role as he has with the Jets as a punt protector/"wildcat" quarterback/running back. Gabbert struggled in his rookie season, but has shown improvement in 2012, while completing 55.6 percent of his passes with seven touchdowns and three interceptions.

Tebow has hardly been utilized in New York, despite their 3-5 record — and despite New York fans chanting for him to play. He's completed two passes on three attempts for 32 yards. He's also run the ball 23 times for 78 yards. Tebow led the Broncos to a 7-4 record last year and a trip to the AFC Divisional Round in the playoffs, where they lost to the Patriots. The Jaguars have started the season 1-6 this year.
