Rajon Rondo makes some sweet moves with the basketball, but
even a behind-the-back pass may not sweeter than the Rondo cookies reportedly
found in the media room at Ulker Sports Arena in Istanbul.
Rondo cookies apparently are Turkish treats that are not
found in the U.S. The Celtics are in Turkey as part of the NBA's international
preseason tour, and the elusive (at least in the states) cookies were spotted
prior to Friday's game against Fenerbahce.
Rondo cookies are not to be confused with the Rondo soft
drink, which was known as "The Thirst Crusher" and had the slogan,
"Lightly carbonated so you can slam it down fast!" when it was sold
in the 1970s.
