Chargers Being Investigated by NFL for Using Banned Stick ‘Em Substance in Loss Against Broncos

Ever heard of stick ’em? Apparently, the San Diego Chargers have.

NFL reporter Jay Glazer tweeted on Sunday afternoon that the Chargers were reportedly being investigated by the league for the use of a banned substance against the Broncos on Monday Night.

The Chargers led Denver 24-0 at halftime, and looked like a team poised to thump Peyton Manning‘s new team. San Diego promptly gave up the next 35 points, en route to the largest blown lead ever on Monday Night Football.

According to the link from the tweet above, an official saw a banned substance in the equipment man’s possession, and confiscated it from him before turning it over to the league.

The Chargers official Twitter account acknowledged the accusations on Sunday and confirmed that they were under investigation by the NFL.

Even on their bye week, Norv Turner‘s Chargers continue to make headlines in the NFL — but for all the wrong reasons.
