Steelers running backs coach Kirby Wilson wanted his team to stick to the game plan on Sunday against the Eagles. He felt that if they did, the results would be obvious — and also rather interesting.
Wilson was caught giving an intense speech on the sideline during Sunday's dramatic victory over the Eagles. He encouraged Pittsburgh's running backs to do what he was asking them to do, citing the last 15 years as proof that it will work. His message wasn't without one fantastic line, though.
"We're better than this football team," Wilson said. "We'll grind these guys up and turn them into little, bitty Eagle meatballs. But you gotta do what I'm coaching you to do."
The Steelers were able to come up with a win over their in-state rivals, and Pittsburgh out-rushed Philadelphia 136-78. In other words, dinner was served at the expense of Andy Reid.
Check out the unique speech below.
