Theo Walcott Urged to 'Sign Da Ting' by Arsenal Fan in New Grime Song (Video)Theo Walcott‘s contract saga isn’t nearly as interesting as Robin van Persie‘s, but at least Arsenal fans can bop their heads to this one.

Arsenal fan Roxy Harris has made a new song called “Sign Da Ting.” In it, he urges Walcott to sign re-sign with the Gunners, as his contract nears its expiration.

“Sign da Ting” falls firmly into the grime category of music, but it’s catchy enough that even those born outside of East London can enjoy it.

The song’s message is as simple as can be. Walcott, 23, rejected Arsenal’s offer of a five-year contract in August, and his club future remains in the balance. The England international tells the world that he’s not worried about money and only wants a chance to play as a striker (instead of out wide as he has done for the last six years), but Harris reminds him that “playing up front just ain’t your thing.”

Walcott’s contract expires at the end of the season, and his reluctance to sign has seemingly cost him a place in the Arsenal starting lineup. He has only started one of Arsenal’s six Premier League games this season, spending most of his time on the bench, “listening to [Emmanuel] Frimpong chat about ‘dench'” Harris notes.

Arsenal fans’ prior experience with star players leaving the club has strengthened their ability to entertain us as they sweat over the latest news.
