Blackhawks Starting to Sound Like Penguins After Frustrating Game 3…
There are quite a few reasons to believe that the 4-0 Houston Texans and the 3-1 San Francisco 49ers are the two best teams in football right now.
They'll get their latest chances to prove that this weekend when they each take on AFC East teams that are heading in the wrong direction — the New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills respectively.
See the lines for that game and the rest of the Week 5 lot below.
All lines courtesy of Bovada.
Arizona (-2) at St. Louis
The surprising Cardinals take their 4-0 record on the road into hostile environment against a Rams team that is looking to keep pace in a very competitive NFC West.
Atlanta (-3) at Washington
The Falcons are becoming a trendy pick for the NFL's best team behind a superstar start from Matt Ryan, but they needed a lot of help to beat the Panthers at home last Sunday.
Philadelphia at Pittsburgh (-3.5)
The Steelers are getting healthy, and they're coming off a bye week, while the Eagles are riding high after squeaking out a win over the Giants on Sunday night.
Green Bay (-7) at Indianapolis
The Packers are obviously the better team, but they've struggled at times early on, and the Colts may be inspired in their first game since the news of Chuck Pagano's illness became public.
Cleveland at New York Giants (-10)
The Giants are double-digit favorites at 2-2 after their second divisional loss of the season last week in Philadelphia. Also: Cleveland isn't good.
Miami at Cincinnati (-4.5)
The Dolphins gave the Cardinals a game last week. So there's that.
Baltimore (-5.5) at Kansas City
The Ravens were taken down to the wire last week, even against the Browns, and this week they'll head to Kansas City to take on a bad, bad Chiefs club.
Seattle at Carolina (-3)
The Seahawks take their act out east after dropping one to the Rams last week.
Chicago (-6) at Jacksonville
The Bears were the beneficiaries of some sloppy, sloppy play at the hands of the Cowboys last week, and Jacksonville may not be much better this week.
Tennessee at Minnesota (-6)
Are the Vikings for real? We may not find out this week, but the Vikes look to keep things rolling against an inconsistent Titans bunch.
Denver at New England (-7)
Tom Brady and Peyton Manning renew their rivalry one week after both enjoyed fine days in big wins for their clubs.
Buffalo at San Francisco (-9.5)
A week after getting torched on the ground by the Patriots, the Bills go to San Fran to deal with the No. 3 rushing offense in the NFL.
San Diego at New Orleans (-4)
The Saints are home favorites to pick up their first win of the season in primetime on Sunday night against the Chargers who are fresh off dismantling the Chiefs.
Houston (-9) at NY Jets
It could all fall apart this week (if it hasn't already) for the Jets against arguably the best team in the league.
