Wes Welker can take a hit as well as he can make a joke.
The Patriots' star slot receiver got laid out by Seahawks cornerback Brandon Browner on Sunday. Before there are any complaints that the play should have been flagged for a helmet-to-helmet hit — Welker was not defenseless.
Welker came back into the game after getting the wind knocked out of him on the hit and continued to be a major target for Tom Brady in picking apart Seattle's top tier defense.
Welker may joke around off the field and it's been getting him in trouble with the media, but you can't question his dedication to the game after plays like these.
