Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals ended
the Boston Bruins' season prematurely in the 2012 Eastern Conference quarterfinals. On Tuesday, Zdeno Chara got a chance to get some personal revenge.
The Bruins captain faced Ovechkin and his Dynamo Moscow squad, and the
Russian forward bested Big Z again, scoring the lone goal in a 1-0 win.
The matchup between the two KHL teams brought some NHL superstardom to the table, and ESPN2 aired the game in an attempt the ease the hockey withdrawals many fans are encountering during the lockout. Fans are still yearning for the real thing and would rather see Chara and Ovechkin suiting up for their respective NHL clubs sooner rather than later, but they will have to wait until at least Oct. 24.
Another Bruin, center Patrice Bergeron, made his debut for the Swiss team Lugano on Tuesday, and he netted two goals and had two assists.
