Sunday’s Patriots-Colts matchup was expected to be a big-time showdown between Tom Brady and Andrew Luck, but the final result shows that the rookie has some work to do before joining that conversation.
The Patriots won 59-24 against Indianapolis, improving to 7-3 on the season in large part thanks to some costly mistakes made by Luck. While he certainly looked capable of making some plays, it was the ones he didn’t on Sunday that an opportunistic Patriots defense was able to capitalize on, most notably on a couple of interception returns for touchdowns.
Boomer Esiason joined The Dennis and Callahan Show on Monday morning for a postmortem of the damage inflicted by the New England D. While Luck isn’t quite at Brady’s level, Boomer says, he’ll get there eventually. See more in the above video.
