Brandon Spikes is one of those players that you love if he’s on your team, and if he’s not, well, ask Buffalo fans today.
Spikes had two questionable hits against the Bills. The first came on a quarterback hit early in the fourth quarter when he ran into Ryan Fitzpatrick facemask first and drilled in to the ground. Spikes was flagged for roughing the passer, though it was questionable if he could have avoided the helmet-to-helmet contact.
Spikes’ second questionable hit came late in the fourth, when he delivered a forearm-to-helmet blow on running back Fred Jackson that jarred the ball loose — though the Bills would recover. To add insult to injury — literally — Spikes flexed his arm as Jackson was being helped off the field.
