The Colts had an extra set of eyes on them in their 23-20 win over the Dolphins — head coach Chuck Pagano's.
Pagano was able to watch the Colts live at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday for the first time since he was diagnosed with leukemia. The Colts were obviously inspired as they defeated Miami to boost their record to 5-3 on the season, and are on the fast track to a playoff spot half-way through the season.
Indianapolis' head coach gave the team an emotional speech after the game stating his visions for life after beating cancer.
"I've got circumstances — you guys understand it, and I understand it. It's already beat. And my vision that I'm living is to see two more daughters get married, dance at their weddings, and then hoist that Lombardi several times," said Pagano. "I'm dancing at two more weddings, and we're hoisting that trophy together, men."
The team gave him a rousing ovation as he walked into the locker room after the game.
