It’s hard to imagine David Ortiz in anything other than a Red Sox uniform, and the veteran slugger admitted on Monday that changing teams didn’t really cross his mind.
Ortiz inked a new two-year deal with the Sox that will keep him in Boston as the team looks to bounce back following a disappointing 2012 campaign. The 36-year-old said that he’s excited to remain in the place he’s called home since 2003, especially because he understands the passion of Red Sox Nation.
