Even at 27, David Price still loves his Teddy Bear.

When the Rays pitcher –– and American League Cy Young award winner –– returned home for Thanksgiving on Wednesday, his mother stumbled upon Price’s childhood toy. Despite collecting a Cy Young award and three All-Star nods, Price wasn’t afraid to show his love for his teddy bear. He posted the text exchange with his mother, which included a picture of his little fan.

When a fan challenged his manhood in regards to the teddy bear, Price defended himself by bringing up the hardware that he recently won.

With or without his Teddy Bear, Price has reason to celebrate since he’s coming off a career year. Last season, he compiled a 20-5 record with a 2.56 ERA and 205 strikeouts.

Check out a picture of Price’s old friend and the text exchange with his mother below.
