This NHL lockout may literally be driving some people crazy.
Denis Leary was in town Saturday night for Comics Come Home, a charity event at Agganis Arena at Boston University that benefits the Cam Neely Foundation for Cancer Care. But while he and Neely did take a few moments to chat about the event and recent donations for Tufts Medical Center, Leary became much more animated when talk turned to the lockout.
“I can tell you as a fan and union guy, I’m in support of the players,” Leary said, calmly laying out the situation before starting to get worked up. “… I hate to say it, but I’m just begging. Please, guys, come back and play!”
Leary said he couldn’t take any more college hockey, and he didn’t even think highly of what Tyler Seguin has been doing overseas, jabbing, “I could play in a Swiss league.”
Neely and NESN Daily co-host Adam Pellerin were just along for the ride. Check it out in the video above.
