Make all the jokes you want about the leaking Miami defense, but the Fins weren’t the cause of the water on the field Sunday against the Seahawks.
As the Dolphins and Seahawks lined up late in the third quarter, the sprinklers at Sun Life Stadium suddenly popped up and came to life, dousing the players. It was unusual scene — especially in Miami, which rarely sees the clouds that Seattle players are likely used to.
While the water was quickly brought under control, quite a few players had some extra moisture on their uniforms — although the referee in the GIF below did a solid job getting out of the way of the spray.
