Hockey fans are getting angry, and they’re not afraid to let NHL commissioner Gary Bettman know it.

On Wednesday, the league and the Players’ Association met for another round of negotiations, reportedly making an insubstantial amount of progress. NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly was originally scheduled to address the media after the session, but instead Bettman himself came out to speak, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review’s Josh Yohe.

While Bettman was talking, a man named Jaymes Hall, an apparently disgruntled Philadelphia Flyers fan who had sneaked in among the media, began yelling aggressive questions at Bettman.

“Why not freeze the revenue generated from those sources that are still in dispute?” screamed Hall. “What about an escrow account or something so we can get back to playing? Let’s get back to playing! The fans are angry!”
Now, in most social circles that would be a non-starter. However, after a brief exchange at the time, after Bettman was finished with his prepared remarks, he walked directly to Hall and the two talked for a moment. Hall reportedly apologized for his actions.
