Jack Taylor Joins Wilt Chamberlain, Gale Sayers in Record Books With All-Time Individual Scoring Effort (Photos)

Before Tuesday, most of America did not know who Jack Taylor was. Now, he’s a household name as he basks in the 15 minutes of fame that comes with setting an all-time scoring record.

Taylor scored an incredible 138 points on Tuesday night for Grinnel College, gunning his way to a record that is sure to stand for years. With his 52-of-108 shooting (including 27-of-71 from behind the 3-point arc), Taylor has cemented his name among some all-time greats who have set individual scoring records on the big stage.

From Wilt Chamberlain‘s iconic 100-point performance in the NBA to Gale Sayers‘ record-setting running in the NFL, there have been many individual records set over the years.

Some will continue to stand, others might be falling soon. All are impressive.
