The Boston Red Sox are widely considered one of the most charitable professional sports organizations in the country. That trend continued Wednesday with the announcement of the 2013 Run-Walk to Home Base, which will be hosted at Fenway Park.
The charity’s mission is to provide services for Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans who have been affected by combat stress and traumatic brain injuries.
The Run-Walk to Home Base is already responsible for raising more than $7 million since 2010, and plans to add to that number with next year’s event.
The fundraiser will take place at Fenway park on May 4, 2013, and all fundraising information is available at the charity’s official website.
