Johnny Damon’s Strange World Baseball Classic Decision Actually Quite Fitting for Him (Video)

Johnny Damon is heading to the World Baseball Classic, but not as a member of the United States.

Instead, he’ll be playing for Thailand as the small Asian country looks to qualify for the 2013 event. While on the surface it might appear that Damon is stretching the rules a bit to find a way to keep playing, a closer look at things reveals that, in fact, Thailand is a pretty fitting place for the outfielder.

The NESN Nation Minute breaks down what makes Damon such a good choice, why the Red Sox should feel safe with Juan Nieves on board and what Mark McGwire‘s hiring means for the Dodgers. Check it out in the above video.

Aetna Strikeouts for A Cause

For every strikeout by a Red Sox pitcher at Fenway Park in June, Aetna will donate $250 to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Through June 25, the donation mark stands at $30,000.

Through their continued efforts in the local community, Aetna is helping to build a healthier world -- one city and one strikeout at a time.
