Justin Bieber Booed By Canadian Football League Fans During Grey Cup Halftime Show (Video)

Oh, Canada.

If you’ve never heard of the Grey Cup, just think of it as the Super Bowl of Canadian football. And, like the real Super Bowl, the Grey Cup also has a fairly elaborate halftime show.

In past years Canadian artists like Nickelback have been featured during the event, but this year it was Justin Bieber‘s (joined by fellow canuck Carly Rae Jepsen) turn to further endear himself to his home country and win the hearts of Canadian Football League fans everywhere — or not.

From the moment Bieber’s likeness appeared on the Rogers Centre jumbotron on Sunday to when his name was announced, the boos rained down upon the blonde-haired pop star. Even once his set started, the boo birds continued to chirp, according to The Associated Press.
