Paul Pierce Pleased With Effort of Celtics’ Bench, Hopeful Boston Can Continue to Gain Momentum (Video)

Don’t look now, but the Celtics have won three in a row.

The C’s outlasted the Jazz 98-93 on Wednesday night to record their third straight victory and run their record to 5-3. A big reason for the win over Utah was the Celtics’ bench play, something that Paul Pierce was quick to point out after the game.

Jeff Green and Leandro Barbosa each chipped in 16 points, and the C’s survived temporarily losing Rajon Rondo, who exited the game with an ankle injury. Pierce was impressed with the effort and feels that continued contributions from the bench will go a long way toward keeping the starters fresh and overall making the Celtics tough to beat.

The C’s will look to pick up a fourth straight win on Thursday in Brooklyn, but before turning the page, hear what Pierce had to say after Wednesday’s win in the video above.
