Doc Rivers didn’t seem overly concerned about Rajon Rondo‘s injured ankle following the Celtics’ 98-93 win over the Jazz.
The Celtics’ head coach said he wasn’t expecting Rondo to play all 82 games anyway, so it might be wise to expect some rest for the point guard early in the season. The Celtics head to Brooklyn tomorrow night, so Rondo has a short window to heal the rolled ankle.
NESN’s Jamie Erdahl reported live from TD Garden for NESN Daily on the Celtics’ close home victory. She was told by Paul Pierce that it’s key for Boston to win close games early in the season, especially when they’re coming at home.
