Red Sox Players to Visit Allston-Brighton Tollbooths on Thursday to Deliver Early Holiday Gift to Commuters

Mass Pike commuters will be treated to a couple of early holiday gifts on Thursday afternoon in Boston. Not only will they avoid a toll, they may get a chance to get some season’s greetings from members of the Red Sox.

Ryan Lavarnway, Mark Melancon, Ryan Kalish and Chris Carpenter will all be at the Allston-Brighton tolls on Thursday afternoon where the Red Sox will pick up the tab for afternoon commuters.

Those players, plus Wally the Green Monster, will be in attendance to hand out 2013 season schedules to passing cars as well spreading some holiday joy with the holidays fast approaching. The Sox and Wally will be at the tolls from 3-4 p.m.

The event is all part of the Red Sox Holiday Road Trip Presented by Coca Cola, which will wrap up with a trip to the Jimmy Fund on Friday before The Fenway Park Holiday Bash on Friday from 5-8 p.m. and the 10th Annual Christmas at Fenway celebration on Saturday at 10 a.m.
