The reports are flying in hard and fast, but what we know right now is that the Blue Jays and Marlins are close to completing an enormous trade with many moving parts.
However, the short version of this story is that the Marlins are (again) basically dumping all of their high-priced talent for about the third time in their brief history, and second time under owner Jeffrey Loria.
Right now reports are indicating that John Buck, Jose Reyes, Mark Buehrle, Emilio Bonifacio and Josh Johnson are all headed north of the border, with Yunel Escobar, Henderson Alvarez and prospects taking their talents to South Beach. Fox Sports’ Jon Morosi and Ken Rosenthal are taking the lead on reporting this.
We’ll keep you updated on how this plays out.
