Report: Patriots Won’t Be Fined for Hits on Rams Quarterback Sam Bradford

Rams coach Jeff Fisher was grasping for answers after the Patriots torched his Rams 45-7 at Wembley Stadium in London last Sunday.

One area he gave some attention to was what he said were illegal hits on his quarterback, Sam Bradford.

But the league has ruled that those hits were not out of line, and the Patriots will not be fined, Mike Florio of profootballtalk.com reports.

“[The officials] missed three roughing the passer calls on our quarterback,” Fisher said this week. “Those are 15-yard penalties, and they keep drives alive. But, as I said, it’s a difficult game to officiate, and they’re not going to see everything, but I’d like to have seen [the referees] do a better job of protecting our quarterback.”

But the league disagreed with Fisher after its weekly review of the tape and has not issued any fines against the Patriots for those hits, Florio reports.

Florio also noted that Fisher has been outscored 104-7 by Belichick in their two meetings.
