Snoop Lion has teamed up with Adidas and a few other superstar athletes to put a new twist on an old story.

“The Caustionary Tale of Ebenezer Snoop” is a masterful, animated re-telling of Charles Dickens’ novel A Christmas Carol. Set in modern-day Southern California, this take has David Beckham, Dwight Howard and a few other stars take the places of the ghosts from Dickens’ classic tale.

The “Cautionary Tale” is part of a multimedia campaign that includes a Facebook app and YouTube teaser spots.

Lion, formerly known as Snoop Dogg, awakes one day late in the year to find that his holiday spirit has gone away. He doesn’t hang out with his friends anymore and they all miss having him around. Luckily, Tennis great Stan Smith takes it upon himself to help Snoop rediscover his holiday cheer.

Everyone knows Snoop’s parties are the best parties. So ghosts Smith, Beckham and Howard show the rapper how lame his crew has become since he left the game.

We don’t want to give away the ending. You’ll have to see what happens for yourself.
