Tom Brady Puts the Kibosh on Video Games, Says Patriots Need to Spend Time Wisely While Preparing for Jets

The Patriots face a short turnaround this week as they prepare to take on the Jets on Thanksgiving evening.

So it’s only reasonable that the first thing quarterback Tom Brady would be worrying about as New England hurries to get ready is whether his teammates are playing too many video games. But that’s what Brady said during his media time Tuesday.

While coach Bill Belichick has talked plenty this week about having little time to prepare, Brady took his leadership to another level by making a decree this week about how his teammates should not be spending their down time.

“We’re just trying to prioritize our time,” Brady said. “We don’t have much of it. We have to leave tomorrow. Hopefully everyone is spending their time wisely, not playing video games and stuff like that, trying to understand our plan and what we need to do.”

Who knew that the Patriots enjoyed a little video game action as much as their middle-aged, non-football-playing peers? What we want to know now is whether Brady is one of the guys playing those video games — and whether he picks the Patriots and their slow-footed signal caller when he grabs the controls for Madden.
