After last Sunday’s debacle (but win) over the Bills, Patriots fans had reason to be concerned as the Indianapolis Colts rolled into Foxboro on Sunday. That concern left the building pretty quickly however, as New England romped over the Colts 59-24.

The defense forced four Indy turnovers, including three interceptions of Andrew Luck. On the other side of the ball, New England continued to demonstrate their offensive firepower, racking up 446 yards, including 331 yards through the air via the right arm of Tom Brady.

Brady spread the wealth on Sunday, hitting five different receivers over the course of the game while not turning the ball over. Two of those offensive studs were tight end Rob Gronkowski and receiver Julian Edelman.

Gronkowski caught seven passes for 137 yards and two touchdowns. With the TDs — and subsequent spikes — Gronk became the first tight end in NFL history with three consecutive seasons of 10-plus receiving touchdowns.

Edelman returned to the offense after a quiet stretch, and caught five passes, including a two-yard snag for a touchdown to increase New England’s lead to 31-17 with 11:07 left in the third quarter. Even more valuable than his receiving prowess however, was Edelman’s role on special teams on Sunday. Edelman ran back two Indy punts for 117 combined yards, including a game-changing 68-yard return to the house to tie the game at 14 midway through the second quarter. He nearly brought another one back for a score, but was halted by the punter after a 49-yard return.

With all that being said, who had the most impressive performance against the Colts on Sunday? Vote in the NESN Daily poll below, and tune in at 10 p.m. Sunday night to see the results.
