Adrian Peterson Won’t Break Single-Season Rushing Record Against Packers, Eric Dickerson Says

Eric Dickerson knows Adrian Peterson could rip off 208 yards at any time. But he doesn’t think it’s going to happen this Sunday, when Peterson needs it to happen most.

Dickerson, who holds the single-season rushing record at 2,105 yards, was asked Sunday morning on the NFL Network whether he thought Peterson would break his mark Sunday against the Packers.

“No, I don’t,” Dickerson said, according to Pro Football Talk.

But Dickerson did acknowledge that the Vikings’ running back has the ability to amass the yardage needed.

“If any guy could have 208 yards in a single game, that would be [him],” Dickerson said.

Peterson has rushed for more than 200 yards in a game twice this season, including piling up 210 yards against the Packers in their first meeting. He is up to 1,898 yards in a season that has seen him break all kinds of barriers.
