Brandon Jennings-Rajon RondoBrandon Jennings and Rajon Rondo likely won’t be exchanging Christmas presents anytime soon, but they were exchanging words on Friday night, which almost led to a fight.

Jennings said he almost fought Rondo, but had second thoughts because of the fine he would incur. Rondo bumped Jennings during the first quarter, and the two had some words.

“It was the first quarter,” Jennings told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinal. “I thought at one point we were going to start fighting, but nobody wants to give up that money.”

It was wise for Jennings to remain calm. The Bucks wound up winning 99-94 over the Celtics. It was Milwaukee’s third win over Boston this season. Jennings contributed 12 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists.

“I just tried not to get caught up in it,” Jennings said. “He’s going to talk mess. That’s who Rondo is as a point guard.

“The main thing is, you’ve just got to keep going at him. I knew I wasn’t 100 percent tonight so why not just go out there and try to get a triple-double?”

Jennings didn’t accomplish the triple-double, but he did help hold Rondo to just six points, 11 assists and five rebounds. And he didn’t get any money taken out of his paycheck for exchanging blows.
