After a disastrous 2012, the Red Sox and new manager John Farrell are looking to improve the team’s roster vastly before the start of 2013. With the re-signing of veteran David Ortiz and the acquisition of several new players, the Sox are off to a good start this offseason but still have a long way to go before Opening Day.
With holes to fill in the starting rotation, as well as the need for another big bat in the lineup, the Red Sox are looking to lay the groundwork at the 2012 winter meetings to acquire some much-needed talent for the roster.
