The Lakers have been nothing short of utterly disappointing this season, and that means everyone around the NBA is going to take their shots at them.
After all, the Lakers did go out and acquire Steve Nash and the whiny master of missed free throws Dwight Howard in the offseason to team them with an aging and increasingly bitter Kobe Bryant. The Lakers were supposed to be world beaters. Instead, they’ve been pants poopers.
That’s what Houston radio play-by-play guy Craig Ackerman was thinking after the Lakers lost (again) on Tuesday night, this time in Houston. Howard missed a bunch of free throws down the stretch, and the now 8-10 Lakers blew a 10-point lead to the Rockets. Ackerman saw his chance to pile on, and oh did he pile on.
