Suffice it to say, the USC Trojans had a disappointing season on the football field.
Going into the season with national championship aspirations, the team jumped out to a 6-1 start, and looked poised to at least capture a Rose Bowl bid. However, the team limped into the finish, ending out the season 7-5 (5-4 in the Pac-12) — possibly hurt the draft stock of quarterback Matt Barkley – and will find itself playing in the Sun Bowl on New Year’s Eve.
On Thursday the Trojans landed in El Paso, so, of course, head coach Lane Kiffin decided to be festive about the affair. The picture below of Kiffin in a sombrero was tweeted out by the Trojans’ official account with the simple message “The Trojans have arrived in El Paso. Yup, that is Lane Kiffin sporting a sombrero. #USC #SunBowl.”
So, here is Lane Kiffin sporting a sombrero. Enjoy.
